Lord Somerset wines for charity initiative

Since June, the Lord Somerset selection has grown in leaps and bounds due to the range of wines being both fantastic value for money and also good quality, easy drinking wines.
The other aspect of the Lord Somerset range is that R3.00 of every case
sold is donated to a local charity through the "Wines for Charity"
initiative.
Since the very first donation was handed over to Erica du Toit of the Association of Persons with Disabilities , the Wines for Charity initiative has awarded us the opportunity to present a variety of organisations a well deserved helping hand. Amongst the organisations we have been honoured to assist have been the Animal Welfare and Hospice, it is always heart warming to help aid fantastic organisations such as these and we will continue to help assist our local community as much as we can.
The Lord Somerset range of wines however, offer more than just the Wine for Charity program, the wines are of a high quality and are also fantastic value for money. This quality is highlighted by the Merlot / Cabernet 2010 and the Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 being awarded with the "Best Value" awards for 2011.
Even though it was these two wines that received the award, the other four wines in the range are also of great quality, the Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc Bushvine are the two White Wines in the range and they are both crisp and refreshing, perfect for enjoying during the coming Summer.
The other two Red Wines in the "family" are the Soft Smooth Red, which as the name implies leaves you with a soft, smooth after taste with pleasant hints of plum and strawberry, the Shiraz Reserve is the last wine in the range and this well structured Shiraz combines the flavours of dried herbs, spices and smoky plum and is an enjoyable full bodied wine.
The Lord Somerset "family" is growing up quickly and is slowly establishing itself in the wine community as a quality, easy drinking, good value for money range of wines.
