Many of the previous vintages have been held in such high regard that they have received top national and international awards. We have no reason to believe this will not be the case with the 2007 vintage - so be sure to take advantage of this pre-release opportunity.
This complex full-bodied red wine has a distinct nose of mint and eucalyptus, followed by ripe plums. The Grande Provence 2007 is elegant, with soft ripe tannins, and offers a unique and memorable drinking experience.
Food and wine pairing: To be enjoyed with red meat, venison or rich poultry dishes.
Cellar aging: Grapes were hand-picked to ensure optimum quality and ripeness. The wine was blended after one year and then aged for an additional two year period, in first-fill French oak barrels.
Winemaker's comments: "It is exciting making this wine as there are so many stages that layer on top of each other, during the process that leads to the final product. I always enjoy the whole journey, which requires both skill and patience from the whole team. The trick is to allow the wine to finish aging in the barrels - the end result is always something truly special."
