New release: Lourensford MCC Chardonnay Brut 2008
14 May 2012  by Lourensford Wine Estate
"Making Méthode Cap Classique in the traditional French method is a fine art that will test the winemaker's skill to the limit. It keeps you humble and on your toes as there is no margin for error."
The 2008 harvest was a moderate to warm season resulting in lower acidity in the grapes. Careful canopy management was done to make sure the grapes see just enough sunlight to keep them healthy and produce balanced fruit flavours.

The fruit was picked by hand early in the morning to protect the very delicate flavours and cooled in a cold room overnight. Whole bunch pressing was done to produce the best possible juice fractions. The harvest date was the 23rd to 29th of January 2008.

This is the Lourensford MCC Chardonnay Brut 2008.
