start the ball rolling in Santa Monica, California, at Sonoma Wine Garden, and talk to wine steward Anthony Lim.
What started your interest in wines?
I had a '78 Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon decanted and I was absolutely hooked ever since.
Describe your wine list.
We have an extensive wine list, featuring wines from every major wine-growing region of the world.
What is your favourite food and wine pairing?
Give me a nice bottle of Muscadet Sur Lie from the Loire Valley and a dozen oysters and I'm in heaven.
What is your favourite wine region?
Currently I am really enjoying the wines coming out of Mendoza, Argentina. My favourite from that region is the '07 Catena Zapata "Nicolas Catena Zapata" Bordeaux Blend.
