Cape Town, November 2012: The inaugural Wine Show Durban taking place at the end of November 2012 at the Durban Exhibition Centre will see TOPS at SPAR playing a major role in hosting the event. The Wine Show, launched in Johannesburg in 2006, has enjoyed great success to date in Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth, and is now setting out to conquer the Kwa-Zulu Natal market. This is why the relationship was an obvious one when we got chatting to the team at TOPS.” The Wine Show launched in Johannesburg in 2006 with the aim of positioning wine producers in front of a large consumer market and allowing for sales directly to visitors. Seven years on and The Wine Show has become a firm favourite on the Joburg and PE calendars for both wine-lovers and producers alike. As the second largest city in South Africa, Durban was the natural choice for a new destination and so, from 23 – 25 November 2012, KZN residents will have the opportunity to experience the Show for themselves at the Durban Exhibition Centre. Exhibitors at the Show will not only have the opportunity to introduce influential buyers to their wines, they will also have the chance to interact with wine-loving Durbanites face-to-face. More than 90% of visitors buy wine at the Show and so this premium platform is the ideal setting for exhibitors to showcase their produce.
