Discover Lomond in the Southern Cape this holiday season

Lomond has again teamed up with Farm215, a private nature reserve with a restaurant and luxury Fairtrade-accredited guesthouse overlooking the dam and vineyards of the wine farm situated beyond Gansbaai in the valley of the Uilenkraal River. The two entities have jointly put together fun Saturday experiences for Overberg locals and visitors to the area to enjoy this summer.
The release of Lomond SSV, a lovely white blend of Sauvignon blanc, Semillon and Viognier, will be celebrated on Saturday, December 8.  A three-course lunch and wine tasting is on offer for only R155 per person. 

A sizzling braai day will take place on December 15. For R155 per person, guests will be treated to typical South African fare as well as a wine tasting.  

December 22 will see the release of Lomond Rosé, a vibrant and energetic wine made from Merlot grapes.  A range of scrumptious food platters will be on offer for between R60 to R100 per person, including a glass of the new rosé wine. 

An exhibition of art by local artist Christo du Toit and photographer Timothy Gabb will take place on January 5.  Musician Clive Marsh will be also be performing.  Visitors will be able to enjoy a buffet with an assortment of delicious nosh for R155 per person, including a wine tasting.

Saturday, January 12
is vegan day for those brave enough to discover how to pair wine with meat- and dairy-free cuisine.  The three-course meal with wine pairing cost R155 per person.

To witness the scenic beauty of the Overberg’s floral kingdom, visitors can book a horse ride with African Horse Company who has their base station on Farm215.  On all special activity Saturdays, visitors will qualify for a special rate of R150 per person for a one-hour ride in the reserve.  The reserve’s various hiking trails can also be discovered on foot.

Lomond’s tasting room at Farm215 will be open from 11:00 until 16:00 on the special activity Saturdays.  Wine tasting and cheese platters are available on appointment only.

As an added bonus, Farm215 is offering a 20% discount on all accommodation bookings by Lomond guests on the weekends of the special activity Saturdays.  This offer is subject to availability.
