Weddings at Kleine Zalze
18 February 2013  by wine.co.za
Wine.co.za speaks to Samantha Flugel on their photo-perfect venue and how, after 6 years of weddings, Kleine Zalze still takes one's breath away.
With its rolling lawns and lush gardens surrounded by vineyards, Kleine Zalze is perfectly suited for al fresco weddings. Ceremonies can take place out on the lawn which offers stunning views of the mountains and fairway.

They have a fully inclusive package in which they can offer the couple anything their heart’s desire –  this also includes a complimentary stay for the bride and groom as well as complimentary use of a golf cart for photos and a complimentary pre-drink for guests. All wine that is served is part of Kleine Zalze's award-winning range so you're in safe hands there.

Home to Terroir, one of SA's top restaurants, Kleine Zalze offers fabulous food even if your wedding is not held in the restaurant itself. With choices from sit-down eating and buffets to elegant canapés, catering will fit your theme.

The venue itself is modern yet adaptable to any style of wedding. At maximum capacity it seats 120 people but lends itself perfectly to a wedding party of 80 with a sizable dance floor.

As mentioned before, "Kleine Zalze sees a lot of al fresco styles of weddings but, we’ve had it all from personal, intimate receptions which made use of the natural beauty of Kleine Zalze, to hugely decorated functions. I would suggest smaller weddings as it lends itself to a personal, magical feel." Says Samantha.

"We offer a coordinating service of course and I love that part of my job because it allows you to really get to know the couple and see their ideas come to fruition through your help." She further adds, 'The most memorable wedding for me was one in which the couple went all out on the décor. The venue was unrecognizable and it was like stepping into a fantasy."

Perhaps, as an added bonus, Kleine Zalze works well as a child-friendly venue as with the gardens and small play area, children are able to roam free and keep parents from going stir-crazy.

In terms of accommodation, Kleine Zalze offers a 15% discount to all guests at the wedding, "we want guests to feel comfortable and there really is nothing worse than spending all day at a wedding and then having to drive back home afterwards" states Samantha. This also means that the Bride is able to have her family and bridesmaids around her to help with the preparations.

With the busiest season being from October to April, if you're contemplating a vineyard wedding, book ahead. It truly is a stellar location with the perfect backdrop for a wedding; You don’t need to look for photo opportunities, they are everywhere.

I am impressed, Very ralrey do I discover a blog that is both educative and entertaining. Your thoughts are important; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I'm very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.
