Top 100 SA Wines showcases South Africa’s finest wines at ProWein, Dusseldorf, Germany. 24 – 26 March 2013

Top 100 is thrilled to announce that the entered wines from Aaldering, Sumaridge, Swartland and La Motte have been awarded certificates for ‘outstanding participation’ in the “fashionable and leading varieties” tasting zone area organized by the MEININGER publication, WEINWIRTSCHAFT, in cooperation with ProWein. The great news is that these chosen wines will be available for trade visitors in a special high traffic tasting zone on all three days of the trade fair. They will also receive enhanced digital and hard copy promotion.

Gavin Patterson of Sumaridge shared, when notified that two of his wines were certificate winners: “This is fantastic news for the Chardonnay and particularly the Pinot – thanks to Top 100 for the opportunity!”

David Niewoudt from Cederberg Private Cellar commented: “The power of the Top 100 SA Wine brand and its global footprint appeals to our commitment and focus to effectively distribute our fine wines worldwide.”

Joanne McGilvray – event manager Top 100 added: “We are privileged to be able to showcase 38 of the finest South African wines from 18 leading vineyards on the Top 100 stand at ProWein. It is gratifying to enjoy the trust that these vineyards have placed in Top 100, to show their wines at one of the world’s most prestigious wine events.”

Ren Bootha – logistics manager Top 100 noted: “Two Top 100 staff members, with intimate knowledge of the winning vineyards, the South African terroir and wine-making conditions, will be on the stand to promote and pour the fine wines and, just as importantly, to ensure that the wines are stored and poured at the optimum temperatures.”

Since 2011, Top 100 SA Wines has grown from strength to strength. Annual exhibitions and events were held in London Trafalgar Square, Lords and Holland Park, together with Manchester, San Francisco and Dusseldorf. Plans for later this year include Harrogate, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
