Zandvliet Estate
The South African wine industry is a dynamic one and locally and abroad lovers of South African wines are demanding more and more from producers.
It is with this in mind that Zandvliet Estate is making a few changes to better align our business offering with the needs of the markets.

Our position of Managing Director is being dissolved to make way for a new role, one dedicated to the trade, that of Sales & Marketing Manager. The role will encompass the development and servicing of Zandvliet’s established, new and emerging markets.

This strategic change sees our current MD, Judi Dyer, hand over the torch to Junel Vermeulen, who is duly appointed to the new role. Judi’s tenure at Zandvliet has seen the estate grow from strength to strength since her appointment in 2009. Her tireless efforts, unwavering resolve, incredible working ethos and passion for the industry has been pivotal in the successes of Zandvliet and a true inspiration for anyone who had the pleasure of dealing with her.

“It is not ‘goodbye’, just ‘au revoir’ as I’ll be intricately involved in the wine industry hereafter, so I’m sure we’ll continue to enjoy the odd glass of wine together,” quips Judi on her parting.

Junel, a certified Cape Wine Master, will take over the reins as of 1 May 2013 and hit the ground running. She brings with her a wealth of experience and passion for the industry. Having worked in markets locally and internationally, Junel’s expertise and achievements are echoed in her outstanding reputation within the industry.

She has further lectured at the Cape Wine Academy since its inception in 1979 and boasts the honour of the being among the first South Africans to be inducted to the Order of Coteaux de Champagne as a Chevalier. Paul and Dan de Wet, owners of Zandvliet, are very excited about Junel’s appointment. They wished her the very best of fortune for her new task and believe that with her expert know-how, drive and charming personality “our key markets will soon take note of Zandvliet’s new standard-bearer who, hand-in-hand with our various representatives on the ground, I am sure will lead the way to increasing our footprint in the marketplace and renewed growth in sales.

Any queries at this time may be addressed directly to Paul de Wet who can be contacted on +27.236151146 or shiraz@zandvliet.co.za.
