Two Oceans Wines
Teresa Ulyate of Cupcakesandcouscous.blogspot.com is the winner of the Two Oceans Simple Snacking Challenge for Western Cape bloggers.
She prepared a platter of roasted vegetable bruschetta with minty gremolata, spiced roasted chickpeas and sweet potato parcels that she matched with Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc 2013 and Two Oceans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2013. Go to Cupcakes and Couscous blogspot to view the winning entry.

The runner-up is Luisa Farelo with her Cape Malay fish tacos, handmade wraps and cucumber raita that she suggests enjoying with Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc 2013. Tandy Sinclair was placed third for her sweet potato crisps that match not only Two Oceans Sauvignon Blanc 2013 and Two Oceans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2013, but also Two Oceans Shiraz Rosé 2013.

The challenge was issued by Two Oceans to inspire South Africans to create tasty snacks for four at a cost of R100 or less to enjoy with its range of great value wines.

The panel of judges included members of the Two Oceans marketing team; TASTE food editor, Abigail Donnelly; chef Andrea Foulkes of Dish Food & Social; and Fiona McDonald, editor of Cheers.

In addition to winning a 12-bottle case each of the five Two Oceans wines that sell in South Africa, Teresa has chosen a two nights away for two at Birkenhead House in Hermanus on the east coast.

Luisa and Tandy also win wines from the Two Oceans range sold in South Africa. Available countrywide, the wines retail for around R35 a bottle.
