The cellar has been tastefully restored and exudes old-world charm. You will find elements of the historic winemaking facility, such as open concrete fermentation tanks and an example of one of the first gravity feed cellars.
A strictly classical approach is followed at Rudera through close monitoring of and attention to individual vines, as well as minimal interference in the cellar. We are striving to achieve an essentially South African character in our wines that reflect their origin in terms of terroir.
