Offered at R230 a head, the menu on May 11 includes a
starter of slow-roasted tomato soup with herb croutons, roast leg of lamb with
rich onion gravy and mint jelly, chicken and mushroom pot pies, roasted
potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower gratin, seasonal vegetables, salad, as well
as pumpkin and cinnamon fritters. To top it all is sticky toffee pudding
served with crème Anglaise for all, and a special surprise just for mom.
A wide selection of Nederburg wines is offered by the
glass, and the entire range is available by the bottle.

The Red Table, created in collaboration with
well-known Cape Town foodie Andrea Foulkes, offers locally sourced fresh, light
food in a comfortable, relaxed and gesellige atmosphere.
This novel restaurant in Nederburg's iconic manor
house, a national monument, looks out on to generous gardens against the
backdrop of vineyards and the towering Drakenstein Mountains.
The à la carte menu features food for everyone, with
prices for first courses starting at R50, mains at R100 and desserts at
R40. Kids are also catered for. Vegetarians and those with special
dietary needs can be accommodated.
