Wine Cellar
Are you a young winemaker who can’t get enough of Burgundy’s noble varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay? Wine Cellar – Fine Wine Merchants and Cellarers – is delighted to offer you a unique opportunity to taste and dine with Veronique Drouhin-Boss, one of Burgundy’s most revered winemakers.

Veronique Drouhin-Boss is the head winemaker of Maison Joseph Drouhin and the ‘guardian’ of the house’s style. On the 9th of May, Wine Cellar will welcome Veronique to Cape Town, where she will present her leading wines, including her 2011 Grands and Premiers Crus. What better way could there be to learn about Burgundy and to sample some of its finest wines? The tasting will be held at La Mouette Restaurant in Sea Point at 18:30 and will be followed by a three-course meal.

If you’d like to win a ticket (valued at R1,500) to this very special evening, explain why you’re so passionate about Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and describe what makes the wines of Burgundy in particular so exceptional. Entrants must be under 30 to be considered and submissions should be between 250 and 300 words. Send your entry to Roland@winecellar.co.za by 2 May. The two best entries will be selected and the winning winemakers will be announced on Wine Cellar's Facebook page.
