Hartenberg Wine Estate
Winters are synonymous with fireplaces and red wine and where better to enjoy this with their new winter menu than at Hartenberg Wine Estate, situated in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands.

Known for producing superb award-winning wines, Hartenberg has also established itself as a wine and food-pairing destination, and is guaranteed to offer just that.

Inspired by warm flavours and fresh, local ingredients the menu has been prepared by a team of dedicated and passionate ladies who have been trained as part of the farm’s upliftment project. For starters choose between a hearty Soup of the Day (soupe du jour) or a Carmelised Onion and Goat’s Cheese Tart. Main dishes include a delicious Fish and Prawn Pie baked in Phyllo Pastry with a Herbed Crème Fraîche. Or a Free-range Chicken Breast filled with Plaaskaas and Parma Ham on mashed potatoes accompanied by a wine jus. If you prefer something lighter enjoy a beautifully presented Vintner’s Platter, which includes a selection of Charcuterie, Cheeses, Snoek Pâté and Olives, served with Homemade Farm Bread. A special feature on the menu is the Grass-fed Waygu Beef Burger – too delicious not to try!

And for that sweet tooth end off your dining experience with either a Warm Toffee Pudding served with Salted Caramel Sauce or their homemade Vanilla Baked Cheesecake served with a Berry Coulis.

To ensure an all round experience choose from one of the estate’s wines which have been paired to enhance the flavours of the food. This menu is available until end September.
