Solms-Delta Wine Estate
September is a very exciting month for us as we launch the newly relocated Fyndraai Restaurant and dedicated tastingroom in its place in the Wijn van de Caab centre. We also open the brand new Music van de Caab centre and gear up for the Franschhoek Uncorked Festival at the end of the month! Happy reading!

Fyndraai Restaurant has moved!
NEW MUSICAL HOME & FRESH NEW MENU

Music and food have always been inseperable partners at Solms-Delta and, with the recent relocation of Fyndraai restaurant to our old stable building, the exploration of food and rural music is now under one harmonious roof.

Adjacent to our newly opened Music van de Caab centre (read more below), Fyndraai is now in a beautifully renovated space enlivened with notes of musical decor.

The menu has also been renewed and refreshed with dishes like sticky glazed pork belly with Cape gooseberry and pickled spekboom, and traditional Kaapse snoek parcel basted with lemon and wilde roosmaryn blatjang. Click here to download the full menu.

The now freed up space of the relocated Fyndraai restaurant will serve as our dedicated tastingroom called Wijn van de Caab.

The entire range of wines are available here for tasting either inside or outside on the veranda or lawn, along with a variety of platters of local cheeses, charcuterie and local Kaapse favourites.

Music van de Caab
MUSIC EXHIBITION

The latest addition to the Solms-Delta offering - the culmination of our research and community projects - is the Music van de Caab centre. The exhibition explores some of the multi-layered roots of rural Cape music. From human development to indigenous, slave, African, European, and modern cross-cultural influences, the display showcases how rich the musical traditions of the Cape are.

In addition to a formal exhibition space which includes interactive displays of indigenous instruments as well as hand-made replicas of these, the centre also includes an indigenous instrument workshop, where local musicians will make and play these indigenous instruments.

To book a guided museum tour please contact the Museum van de Caab on +27.218743937 ext 135/137 or send an email to museum@solms-delta.co.za.
