Groote Post
It’s time for the third ‘Klink’ Wine Tourism Awards and Groote Post’s ever popular Game Drive is a nominee in the category‘Award for Most Unusual Attraction on a Wine Route’– the category celebrating a destination that offers a unique selling point attracting wine tourists to the farm.

Cast your vote for Groote Post and you will automatically be entered into the Klink Awards weekly draw to win unforgettable wine experiences – a meal at a wine farm restaurant, a night at a wine farm guesthouse, a special wine pairing tasting experience, or, of course, the fruits of the vine itself – so hurry up and get voting! Remember you can only vote once so use your vote for Groote Post.

The Groote Post Game Drive in the winery’s bona fide game vehicle affords visitors the opportunity to take in the splendour of their 2000-hectare game camp. Visitors will spot the game to which Groote Post is home, namely: Eland, Kudu, Gemsbok, Bontebok, Springbok, Red Hartebeest, Fallow Deer, Ostrich, Black Wildebeest as well as Quaggas. For those more inclined towards flora than fauna, one will appreciate the farm’s conservation of the highly threatened renosterveld that makes up 4.75% of South Africa’s total area under this vegetation. The tour continues through the Groote Post vineyards - including a breathtaking view of Table Mountain from the top vineyard – and, of course, to complement the experience, a glass of wine (and other refreshments) is a pre-requisite as you soak up the glory of nature.
