Established in 2002 by Carolyn and her winemaker husband Jean-Claude (JC) Martin, the Estate presently offers four different Pinot Noir wines: Creation Pinot Noir, Creation Reserve Pinot Noir, The Art of Pinot Noir by Creation and Creation Emma’s Pinot Noir. Ranging from intensely fragrant and beautifully earthy to excitingly complex and elegantly spicy, each one of these wines has proved to be a winner in its own right and according to Carolyn the upcoming celebration presents the ideal opportunity to showcase them.
The two-day Pinot
Celebration will kick off on Friday 30 January with a tasting at Bona Dea
Estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. This will be followed by a gala dinner where
Norman Hardie, producer of Pinot Noir and
Chardonnay wines in Ontario, Canada will be the keynote speaker and present
some top American Pinot Noirs.
Saturday 31 January will see the various
Hemel-en-Aarde Pinot Noir producers hosting a series of events.

present five of the award-winning Creation
Pinots followed at 18h30 by a delectable main course and cheese board, paired

Among the many recent accolades for Creation’s
Pinot Noir has been a Platter 5 star rating for the 2013
Reserve Pinot Noir. The wine rewards with multiple
layers of rose petal, dried apricot, cherry and spice on the nose. The
luxurious, silky palate is in harmony, also offering deep tones of liquorice on
the lingering aftertaste.
Additional Pinot achievements include a gold
medal at the 2014 Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards for the
2013 Creation Pinot Noir and two gold medals at the 2014 Mondial des
Pinots for the 2012 and 2013 Creation Reserve Pinot Noir respectively. What’s
more, the 2012 Creation Emma’s Pinot Noir was allocated an impressive 93 points
by
Tim Atkin, British
Master,
and the 2013 Creation The Art of Pinot Noir a most worthy 92 points by
leading US wine critic, Robert Parker – to mention but a few.
