Van Loveren
Cookies&Crazy and Marshmallow Pop! might sound like kiddies’ treats, but be assured that these funky-sounding names refer to exquisite cream liqueurs more suited to livening up age-restricted festivities. Together with the new Cuppnchino Cream, this trio of delectable liqueurs is set to take any social to the next level of party pleasure.

Indulge with Cookies&Crazy’s rich biscuit-and-chocolate flavour; revel in the dark aromas of freshly ground coffee and vanilla in Cuppnchino Cream; or, have your taste buds whipped into creamy, floating bliss with Marshmallow Pop! Enjoy each liqueur as is or let your imagination run wild. Serve it on crushed ice, in a mix of dreamy cocktails, as a creation of daring grown-up milkshakes, or impress your friends by serving up ice cream-with-a-kick or slightly tipsy cheesecake.

The liqueurs are made by Nature’s Own, a division since 2012 of Van Loveren, South Africa’s largest family owned winery. The acquisition, which kick-started liqueurs including Marula Fruit, Strawberry Delight and Four Cousins Marula Cream, is directly in line with Van Loveren’s strategy of innovation that has ensured a varied and successful portfolio. The range has also recently expanded to include Inca Caramel Gold – a blend of delicious caramel and premium vodka; and, Ilala Cream. The liqueurs retail for approximately R100 per bottle.

Master blender Jack Thirion – a man famed for his expertise in product development - was appointed to oversee the operations and ensure the highest standards. The former Nature’s Own factory was relocated from Cape Town to a state-of-the-art premises in the village of Bonnievale, in the Robertson Valley. Famed for its dairy farms and vineyards, the region is the source of the goodness that goes into each liqueur.

Fresh cream is received within 24 hours of the liqueur being made, then blended with high quality spirit and ingredients to produce each delicious starburst-in-a-bottle.

Today, Nature’s Own is enjoyed the world over. It is enjoyed in an array of countries in Southern Africa and further afield including Brazil, New Zealand, the Netherlands and the USA. It has become yet another success story for Van Loveren.

Van Loveren is well known for its superb wines grouped into six well-known brands: Christina van Loveren, Van Loveren, Papillon, Five’s Reserve, Four Cousins and the eco-friendly Tangled Tree range. The heart of its farm operations near Robertson is similarly famous for out-of-the-box food and wine pairings, an entrancing heritage garden and various, family-friendly outdoor activities.
