What Wine: What Hollywood Bombshell

On request, here are the perfect wines to be drinking alongside some of Hollywood's most beautiful ladies.

Scarlett Johansonn

She's my lady crush because she exudes this old-world glamour that doesn't seem to tarnish; her lips look they were stung by a very gentle bee and most men would want to get lost in those eyes. But aside from being quite beautiful, she has an air of casual girl-next-door about her which makes her endearing to both females and males so a wine that would suit her needs must be universally loved and quite sexy.

My pick has to be: Villiera Monro Brut 2008

Charlize Theron

Our very own beauty, though you wouldn't tell from the accent - to me she appears a little reserved, perhaps sometimes cold - she carries herself in a very queenly manner and she never seems to age. Her most famous role playing Aileen Wuornos in Monster, showed a darker, grittier side as she took on method acting to the extreme. She needs a wine that is fit for royalty and that would stand up to her airs and graces.

My pick has to be: Bouchard Finlayson Galpin Peak Pinot Noir 2012

Kerry Washington

Scandal might be the best thing that ever happened to her, playing Olivia Pope brought out a strong, determined character that can take on the world. If you have been following the series, you'll also notice that she's pretty much my inner spirit animal drinking red wine every night in a huge glass and pairing it with an equally huge bowl of popcorn. Sales of vino should have sky-rocketed because of her. She needs a wine with equal backbone, a wine that has really flourished in the last few years, having found its perfect pocket in South African terroir.

My pick has to be: Shannon Mount Bullet Merlot 2010

Emily Blunt

She popped into the limelight playing a likable bitch in the Devil Wears Prada and picks more comedic and/or safe movies. Married to John Krasinski, the awesome Jim Halpert from The Office and they now have a baby girl together. She's incredibly likeable and everyone's cup-of-tea so her wine partner would also be greatly loved and easy to consume and adore.

My pick has to be: Lourensford Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Julia Roberts

Probably the best smile in the industry, Pretty Woman was Julia's making and from there she's conquered the movie industry and notably asks a pretty price for each picture. She's a strong ambassador for UNICEF though I love the story of her being referred to as Tinkerhell when she was filming Hook with the late great Robin Williams. Undoubtedly she'd be a great lover of an upper-class wine that's got a great track record.

My pick has to be: Jordan Nine Yards Chardonnay 2013
