Hosted by Artlogic, the acclaimed NIROX
Sculpture Park will be transformed into a contemporary wonderland over the
weekend of 9 and 10 May, with these
exquisite sculptures dotted across the landscape, creating the perfect backdrop
for a social meeting place.
The success of the past two year’s Winter
Sculpture Fair has proven to be the perfect day trip, where discerning visitors
can enjoy good food, superb wine and beautiful art, in a spectacular setting
with friends and family. This year the Franschhoek Wine Valley will be
represented by well known wine farms such as Stony Brook, Vrede en Lust, La
Bri, Rickety Bridge and Haute Cabrière. Regarded
as SA’s Culinary Capital treat your taste buds to gastronomic delights prepared
by Bread & Wine, Maison, Foliage and Fromage de France, to name but a few.
The NIROX Sculpture Park, the first of its
kind in Gauteng, offers a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy an art form not
ordinarily open to the general public. Situated about an hour’s drive from
Johannesburg, the 15 hectare, lush expanse of land that was once a commercial
trout farm now offers an impressive display of world-class sculpture amid a sea
of greenery, complete with walkways and water features.
Entrance to the fair costs R150 per person and can be purchased directly via Webtickets. Limited tickets will be made available on the day, so it is best to book beforehand to avoid disappointment.
