SAWTC
The only national wine tasting competition opened to all wine lovers will have its first Provincial leg taking place in Johannesburg on the 13th of May 2015.

For the third year we are now calling all wine lovers to test their abilities for The South African Wine Tasting Championships. The South African Wine Tasting Championships 2015 is a public event, open to amateurs who are encouraged to compete alongside the professionals. In the spirit of ongoing education, and in an attempt to encourage new converts into the closed circle that is the wine world, the SAWTC 2015 will allow all wine lovers to put their talents to the test.

3 Steps to become a Champion:
1 - Taste the short list of wines preselected by the SAWTC at the Juliet Cullinan Wine
2 – Come to the blind Tasting table and recognize 6 wines served blind from the selection you have just tasted
3 - Secure one of the highest scores and be invited to the national finale in Cape town in September, deciding who will be flying to the World Championship in France on the 17th of October 2015.

This wine challenge is open to all over 18, and the Top Provincial Tasters will be receiving an award.

Who will make South Africa’s TOP 10 WINE TASTERS? And who will fly to Chateauneuf du Pape?
Whoever feels ready to face the challenge, whether a wine lover or wine maker, sommelier or amateur, or just willing to evaluate your palate, diarise the 13th of May 2015 and join the best wine tasters of the country.
The SAWTC is proud to team with Restaurant Mosaic at the Orient to select the most talented emerging wine lovers willing to become sommelier, and applying for the Mosaic Protégé program. More details on our website.
Cost: Participant will have to have a valid ticket for the Juliet Cullinan Wine Festival. SAWTC is R100 per competitors, but group and couple fares apply at the door, so wine tasting can be made a game among friends.
We are delighted to team with WINE.CO.ZA as the 2015 SAWTC Media Partner
