3 wines, 1 dish, 1 crazy Frenchman = Extreme Pairing

Wine can be an intimidating affair. Deciding what to pair with your food is often a make or break.

'I love it when you talk foreign!'

This is a line from a delightful ad aired a few years back, and I think that when people view the Extreme Pairing videos with our crazy Frenchman, Jean-Vincent Ridon, his gorgeous French accent is likely to cause a similar response to the girl being wooed with whispers of 'parmigiani' and  'cuppaccino'!

wine.co.za has partnered with JV Ridon, whom having grown up in France, is no stranger to wine, to produce a set of 12 Extreme Pairing videos this year, that will both de-mystify wine and bring a new fresh and fun dynamic to wine and food pairings. We aim to release 2 videos per month - starting in June.

In the videos he will be creating, he will take 3 different wines from 3 different wineries - and pair them with a dish of his choice.

wine.co.za will publish these videos on YouTube, on wine.co.za (35 000+ unique wine-loving visitors monthly) and of course will share them in all our extensive Social Media Channels (another 35 000+ followers) and we expect everyone who views them will also spread the word.

How do you get your wines to be featured in these EXTREME PAIRING videos?  What's the small print?

  • You must be a client of wine.co.za, with your wines being for sale in our Online Shop
  • Fill in the booking form HERE and send through to us, and send 6 bottles of each wine to The Wine Embassy, 100 Shortmarket Street, Cape Town.
  • Cost R1500 ex vat per wine (discounted to R1350 ex vat per wine for > 1 wine)
  • Maximum 3 wines per producer allowed

Limited spaces - 36 Wines only. With 3 per video makes 12 videos to be done this year, and we already have 12 wines booked so in fact only 24 slots left!
