This time round, Nederburg has created a fabulous four-pack featuring all the varietal reds in the classically styled Winemaster's Reserve range: the Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinotage and Merlot. The special collection comes with two complimentary red Le Creuset stoneware ramekins and is expected to retail for around R300.
Offering a fresh, fun
and unexpected take on wine and food pairing and presentation, the famous
winery has commissioned a series of 12 recipes of super-tasty dishes that can
all be prepared in the ramekins. They have been developed by Thuli Gogela of Mzanzi
Style Cuisine, who is rapidly becoming one of South Africa's favourite food
bloggers for her original and inventive touches to traditional dishes. She has
devised a starter, main and dessert recipe for each of the four reds included
in the collection.
Every four-pack
includes four recipe cards of either starters, mains or desserts with
easy-to-follow instructions and photographs with styling suggestions for each.
She has matched the
Cabernet Sauvignon, for example, with a blueberry and rooibos soufflé, the
Shiraz with a biltong hummus and the Pinotage with a mussel and red wine soup.
Says SA brand manager
for Nederburg, Melissa Diedericks: "The idea is to pique your curiosity
and take your palate on a journey of flavour. Each pack includes a set of
four recipes. So to collect all 12 recipe cards will mean several visits to
your nearest participating wine stockist. It's definitely worth it,
though, not just for the great and interesting wine and food pairing ideas, but
also for the excellent value."
The Nederburg
four-packs will be available from leading liquor outlets and www.vinoteque.co.za from late May
2015.
