Weltevrede
We’re ready to welcome old friends and new visitors alike on the estate for lunch and wine tastings, including very special tutored tastings in our underground cellar in the company of our owner and wine-maker Philip Jonker.

We can’t wait for this year’s Wacky Wine Weekend, 4 – 7 June!

For the peckish we’ll be serving wraps and soup and coffee and cakes. On Sunday we’ll be open from 9 am to 3 pm.

Booking is essential for the underground tastings and the MCC sessions:
The tastings will happen at 2 and 4 pm on Friday 5 June and at 10 am and 12 and 2 pm on Saturday 6 June. Admission is R70 per person.
There will be MCC sessions on the hour between 2 and 5 pm on Friday 5 June, and between 11 am and 5 pm on Saturday 6 June. Admission is R100 per person and you keep your bottle of MCC.

Look out for new choCMint Cab
The latest addition to our Simplicity Collection, Weltevrede choCMint Cabernet Sauvignon, was recently released and is currently making its way out into the South African market. choCMint, like the other wines in this popular collection, captures the essence and highlights a prominent characteristic of its varietal. The result is a juicy Cabernet Sauvignon with a smooth finish and a clear-cut, simple and identifiable label.

French Chardonnay available!
What happens when a Chardonnay winemaker from the New World gets the opportunity to make a few barrels right in the Old World cradle of this classic cultivar? For Weltevrede, the Jonker Family Wine Estate, the answer is 600 bottles of very special Chardonnay made and bottled in France, shipped to South Africa for the estate’s centenary in 2012 and now available for sale at the cellar.
