Pongrácz
Toasting 25 years of pioneering prowess as South Africa’s No. 1 Méthode Cap Classique, Pongrácz has teamed up with some of the country’s most passionate entertainers at DIVAS UNITE, for a Woman’s Day concert in the Cape Town City Hall, on Sunday, 9 August 2015.

Featuring amongst others Zolani Mahola of Freshlyground, doyenne of song Judy Page and her equally famous daughter, Kim Kallie, and soprano Magdalene Minnaar, DIVAS UNITE marks the first of numerous Pongrácz events celebrating its 25 year reign as the country’s leading Cap Classique.

These events honour the bold, pioneering spirit of Desiderius Pongrácz whose life’s work made it all possible. By combining knowledge and passion, Pongrácz changed the art of the vine forever, creating many innovations and a new style of viticulture. It is no wonder that the Cap Classique that bears his name stands apart from the rest.

Launched in 1990 in a distinctively unique signature bottle, Pongrácz is crafted in the classic French tradition from two noble grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Refined, sophisticated and bold, Pongrácz raised the bar even further with the launch of the grande cuvée, Desiderius, in 2002 and a Brut Rosé in 2009.

Guests at DIVAS UNITE will be welcomed with flutes of Brut and the entire range will be available from the glamorous Pongrácz bar to be enjoyed with elegant canapés all afternoon.

The event at the Cape Town hall starts at 13h30. Tickets are R290 per person at www.computicket.com.
