“We Love Wine” returns to Capegate Shopping Centre

Anyone living in the northern suburbs of Cape Town can look forward to the third “We Love Wine” Festival at Capegate Shopping Centre on Friday, 21 August from 17h00-21h00 and Saturday, 22 August from 12h00-18h00.

Wine lovers can taste and buy wine from the 20 producers participating in the festival and a wide selection to suit every palate and wallet, ranging from red, white, dry and sweet right through to Port, bubbly and pot-stilled brandy, is on offer.

A new addition to the event is the Wine Theatre presented by The Cape Wine Academy where educational and fun tastings will be offered FREE of charge with a festival ticket.

On Friday at 18h30 we start off with Delheim’s Cupcakes and wine pairing, followed by a tasting of six top Shiraz’s at 19h30, which is just perfect for all red wine lovers. Saturday at 14h00 is Chenin Blanc’s turn and at 15h00 chocoholics can sit down for Lanzerac’s chocolate and wine pairing. We end off the programme with a tasting at 16h00 of sweet and dessert wines like Port, Muscadel, Jerepigo and Noble Late Harvest.

Participating wineries include: Ayama Wines, Blaauwklippen Vineyards, Boschkloof, Eaglevlei Wines, Eerstehoop Wines, Delheim, De Krans, Groenland, Lanzerac, L’Avenir Stellenbosch, Orange River Cellars, Ormonde Vineyards, Perdeberg Wines, Ruitersvlei Wines , Simonsvlei, Solms-Delta, Villiera Wines, Wellington Wines and Yonder Hill Wines.

The Pebbles Project, which looks after disadvantaged children, especially those impacted by alcohol, is the charity beneficiary of the festival and will be present to spread their message and raise funds and awareness.
