Jason’s Hill Private Cellar
Winemaker, Ivy du Toit, describes the
unwooded Chardonnay as being
fresh and vibrant with rich fragrances of fruit. Delivering a crisp and
lingering aftertaste, enjoy on its own whilst basking in the sun, or serve with light seafood dishes, such as a Caesar salad or fruit-based salads. Even works well with mild curries disches such as Chicken Makhani. Available directly from the cellar at R40 per bottle.
What would summer be without a Sauvignon Blanc. The estate’s flagship white wine, the
Sauvignon Blanc has superb varietal expressions, with delicate asparagus and
grassy complexities. A wine with a refreshing crispness and a well-balanced
finish, this is the perfect match with Asian inspired dishes which include
lime, chilli and coriander ingredients. Will stand up well to the richness of
oily or buttery dishes, as well as most salads, and is the perfect food wine
for most seafood dishes (from raw to smoked). What more could you ask for from
this superb value-for-money wine, which is available directly from the cellar
at R45 per bottle.
Jason’s
Hill Private Cellar is tucked away in the heart of the Boland at the foot of
the Slanghoek Mountains. For more information visit www.jasonshill.co.za.
