It was a week of gold awards for Perdeberg Wines as results from three different competitions came in. Here are the results:

Paarl Wine Challenge 2015:

The Dry Land Collection Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 was awarded the Gold Trophy

Currently in its 16th year, the challenge has become a premium showcase of wines produced or vinified in Paarl.

Gold Awards:

Perdeberg Winery was among the top 5 performing brands at this year’s Gold Wine Awards winning 10 gold medals as well as a fan favourite mention for the Soft Smooth Red.

The Gold Wine Awards is a consumer judged competition, it identifies worthy wines to give sales a boost while helping the consumer make better buying decisions.

The Standard Bank Chenin Blanc Challenge:

Dry Land Collection Barrel Fermented 2014 Chenin Blanc was among the winners at this year’s Standard Bank Chenin Blanc Top 10 Challenge

The 2015 Standard Bank/Chenin Blanc Top 10 Challenge is to evaluate the most prestigious Chenin Blancs in our country.

With The Standard Bank Chenin Blanc Challenge results coming through last week, Perdeberg CEO, Gerhard van der Watt says: “Given that local and international judges felt the standard among the 145 entrants was incredibly high, the recognition makes this an even greater achievement.”
