As one of the participating wineries from Saturday, 26 to Sunday, 27
September, Grande Provence will offer visitors a taste of both their signature
label and easy-drinking Angels Tears wines, with complimentary tastings of the
2015 Grande Provence Rosé and 2015 Angels Tears Red at their tasting room.
Wine lovers can pre-book for flagship tastings with winemaker Karl
Lambour in the private dining room in the elegantly appointed Jonkershuis from
11h00 to 11h30 daily.
Keeping in the spirit of Heritage and Braai Day, Executive Chef Darren
Badenhorst has designed a special menu of braai favourites with his signature
twist of unexpected bursts of flavour.
Think mini curry lamb potjie bunnies with micro coriander and local
yoghurt raita, or lemon and herb marinated deboned quail sosaties. Try the
gourmet braaibroodjies filled with 18 hour pulled pork, mozzarella, smoked
tomato jam and foraged vineyard herbs, or opt for a seafood braai choice of
prawn skewers with black garlic, lemon grass and charred red onion.
For an even more relaxed visit, visitors can order pre-packed picnic
baskets or cheese boards to enjoy with views of the beautiful Sculpture Garden
and surrounding mountains.
