Fleur du Cap
Four Fleur du Cap wines, including the much lauded Noble Late Harvest, have broken the venerable 90-point barrier in Tim Atkin’s 2015 South African Wine Report.

With a score of 94/100, the Fleur du Cap Noble Late Harvest 2012 has shown remarkable consistency as one of South Africa’s top dessert wines and the 7th consecutive vintage to be awarded Platter 5 stars. The wine entices with a bouquet of floral notes with whiffs of raisins and marmalade. Dried apricot and peaches follow through onto the palate with the acidity and sweetness in perfect balance.

Completing the cache of 90+ rated wines are Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Semillon 2014 and Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2014 with a score of 91, and the Unfiltered Merlot 2013 scoring 90 points.

Now in its third year, Tim Atkin’s 2015 South African Wine Report is the most comprehensive to date. With his vast experience spanning 25 years of tasting South African wines, Atkin is an accomplished wine commentator and British Master of Wine. He tasted more than 1 000 local wines for his 2015 Report during visits to the country as well as in London.

All of these acclaimed Fleur du Cap wines are available for purchase at Die Bergkelder in Stellenbosch and at select wine shops.
