Delaire Graff Estate
Delaire Graff Estate wishes winemaker, Morné Vrey, viticulturist, Kallie Fernhout, and the Delaire Graff wine team a resounding congratulations on their success in the 2015 Tim Atkin South African Report. Delaire Graff Estate retains its First Growth status and Vrey has been named Young Winemaker of the Year.

The Tim Atkin Report is the result of a two month study and tasting of over 1,000 South African wines to compile a comprehensive classification of South African wine producers. Drawing on the classic Bordeaux First Growth classification, the South Africa Report ranks South Africa’s top 150 wine producers in a similar fashion.

One of only fifteen vineyards to receive First Growth status, Delaire Graff Estate has, since its inception in 2008, made its mark as one of the most highly awarded estates in the country.

Delaire Graff Estate is the only winery to have three red wines receive 95 points and above. Of the ten Delaire Graff wines tasted for the Report, all received 92 points and above with the Laurence Graff Reserve awarded 97, one of only seven wines to receive this, the highest rating.

Vrey says of his success, “It’s a very rewarding feeling and I am so proud of all the Delaire Graff wine team has achieved”.
