Allesverloren
Venture into the Swartland where you will find the oldest wine estate in the region, Allesverloren. And with the newly-released 2010 vintage of the Allesverloren Fine Old Vintage, the legend in this Swartland icon lives on!

The Allesverloren Fine Old Vintage is one of South Africa’s most recognised port-style wines and was first produced on the farm in 1806. Crafted from a blend of Portuguese varietals including Tinta Barocca, Souzão and Pontac, it has a beautiful nose of honeysuckle and fruit mince pies with subtle hints of black cherry and sweet spice. If this does not entice you, the taste of rich praline finished off with lingering spicy fruit cake and hints of dark chocolate ganache most definitely will!

“This vintage has particularly excited us, especially with the concentration of fruit. The grapes used are harvested from vines planted back in 1954,” says legendary winemaker Danie Malan.

And although it might seem that Spring is hinting, the Allesverloren Fine Old Vintage is still the perfect companion to those chilly evenings. You can even surprise your dinner guests by preparing Chef Nic van Wyk’s South African inspired Portuguese Pasteis de Nata infused with Rooibos tea and perfectly paired with this wine.

The Allesverloren Fine Old Vintage is available from the farm and retail outlets countrywide – RSP – R120.00
