Beatrix Galloway, born and bred in Robertson, joins the Robertson Wine Valley team as they bid farewell to their stalwart of six and a half years, Elizma Botha

Graduating from UNISA in the field of Public Relations Management and Events, and completing a course in Marketing and Advertising at Boland College Stellenbosch, Beatrix brings with her a wealth of experience in these fields as she takes over her new role as Robertson Wine Valley Manager.

Having met the love of her life, Kobus, during her student years, it didn’t take much persuasion for her to follow her heart to Hermanus initially. But the city lights of Cape Town beckoned and it was here that she joined Associated Magazines in pursuit of her dream – that of working for a magazine publisher in the public relations field.

In 2011 Beatrix joined New Media, South Africa’s leading content agency which boasts clients such as Multichoice, Woolworths, Vodacom, Mercedes and First National Bank. Initially taking up duties in the advertising sector, it wasn’t long before Beatrix started managing photo shoots, planning events and was involved with procurement. A mere three and a half years later, Beatrix was appointed the company’s Communications Manager.

In 2012 Beatrix married Kobus and their beautiful daughter was born in 2014.

Says Elizma Botha, outgoing Wine Route Manager: “Even though I’m excited about my new opportunity, I will miss the Robertson Wine Valley family dearly. I am however also extremely excited to be handing over the reins to Beatrix. Her creative energy, passion and experience will take the Valley from strength to strength. She has all of our support and we know that the Galloways will enjoy every moment of this new chapter in their lives.”

Beatrix officially joins the team on 2 November 2015.
