A golden night for Spier at the Veritas Awards

Spier won Double Gold for the Savanha Naledi Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 and The Hutton Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Woolworths) 2013 at the glittering Veritas awards evening on Friday, 10 October at the CTICC in Cape Town, cementing its position as one of the most awarded wineries in the country.
“With these two Double Golds, we are delighted that our passion for crafting balanced and sophisticated Cabernets has been recognised,” Frans Smit, Spier’s cellar master, says. “The spread of gold medals across other varietals shows our winemakers’ commitment to consistent excellence.”

A panel of local and international judges assessed 1763 medal contenders, awarding GOLD medals to the following Spier Wines:
