Villiera Wines
It has been an extremely dry winter and traditionally we don’t get much rain from now until after next year’s harvest. This poses a problem for the growing season and next year’s yield, but on the bright side there is plenty of the wonderful 2015 vintage available. To avoid a thirst, we suggest you stock up prior to the festive season.
A few bottles of Cap Classique in the fridge will go a long way to satisfying visiting friends and family over the holiday period. To simplify your gift shopping, we also have plenty of options, such as carry packs, bubbly gift boxes and Magnums.

For most of us there will be multiple dining occasions over the next three months and the suitability of our wine with food was confirmed by The Sommelier Selection Awards where our Bush Vine Sauvignon Blanc 2014 received a Trophy for "best fresh and crunchy white". Our Domaine Grier Rose picked up a Trophy for "best foreign wine" and our Domaine Grier Chardonnay was recommended. Our Tradition Brut was also recommended as Cap Classique by the glass.

Awards
The great value that our wines represent was confirmed by 4 gold medals in the Gold Wine Awards for Down to Earth Red 2013, Chenin Blanc 2014, Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 and Merlot 2013.

At the Michelangelo Awards we were rewarded with 3 gold medals for Monro Red 2009, Bush Vine Sauvignon Blanc 2015 and Merlot 2013.

Our bubblies also performed well internationally, where we received a silver outstanding for our Monro Brut 2009 (soon to be released) and a silver for our Brut Natural 2011.

We also received a Gold and best Rosé Bubbly award for our Woolworths MCC Brut Rosé, in the "Rosé Rocks" challenge.

At the Veritas Awards, South Africa’s most prominent wine competition, we also performed well. We received numerous silver and bronze awards but our Cap Classiques were the outstanding performers. We received Double Gold for Monro Brut 2008 and Gold for our Tradition Brut N/V.
