Deetlefs Wine Laboratory rated top laboratory for 2015

Participating laboratories (50) receive identical samples from a central distribution point and then have a week to analyse and submit their results on-line to SAWLA. The aim of Proficiency Testing is to provide the participating laboratories with objective assessments of the accuracy and reliability of their test results. It also provides the opportunity for laboratories to benchmark their performance within a pooled industry group.

Deetlefs Wine Laboratory has been voted top wine laboratory for five consecutive years (2009 – 2013), second in 2014 and has brought the trophy home again this year, hereby highlighting the consistency of analysis and service levels.

This independent wine laboratory operates according to ISO 17025 requirements.  There is a commitment from this multi-disciplinary team to improve and manage the Quality Management Program for the Deetlefs Group ensuring world class wines.  Good winemaking is a form of art and science is the sound foundation assisting winemakers in producing wines of consistently high quality.

The Deetlefs Group is BRC, FairTrade and Wieta certified.
