Space is filling up for the Top of the Hill Fun Walk this Saturday, 23 January 2016, so put on your exercise shoes and join us for this relaxed and interesting 2 km walk on the farm.
Departure is at 10h30 from the Tasting Room. Together with owner Pieter de Waal, we will walk through the many rows of vineyards, while Pieter will reveal the amazing stories and heritage of this 334 year old farm. The walk will commence to the shade of the majestic & old wild fig tree, a landmark on the farm. This tree is based next to the magnificent 65 year old 1 hectare vineyard block - the oldest existing Pinotage block in the world.
This is the perfect spot to take a break and taste and savour the fruit of the DeWaal Top of the Hill Pinotage 2013, the top Pinotage wine at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show in 2015.
Included with the Top of the Hill Walk is a lovely cheese board – a selection of local cheeses and delights on the beautiful outside Terrace - as well as a glass of wine of your choice, from the DeWaal Young Vines range.
