Babylonstoren
New suites are opening in the restored Farmhouse at Babylonstoren. They have access to a new swimming pool, sauna, salt room and library.

As with the original Farm Hotel, these suites offer the authentic yet contemporary experience that defines Babylonstoren. In total up to 70 guests can now be accommodated.

The farm Babylonstoren was founded in 1692 near Franschhoek, and has one of the best preserved werfs (farm yards) in the Cape. Owner Karen Roos guided the transformation of this historic farm into a magnificent public garden and contemporary farm stay hotel.

Set beneath a copse of trees, the decoration of The Farmhouse combines authentic architecture with modern design: refined and moody. A botanical theme combines with swarthy four-poster beds, dusted moss walls and European stoves in every room. A green communal library known as The Butterfly Room contains a rare collection of butterflies bequeathed to the farm. The loft above it became one of the most beautiful honeymoon suites in Africa.

With its complex of elegant venues housed in immaculately restored Cape Dutch farm buildings, Babylonstoren provides a versatile environment for events like workshops, weddings and private celebrations.
