De Krans
What comes to mind when you think of De Krans ports and wines? Quality would no doubt be one of them and you can be assured that the latest offering from this award-winning producer will deliver just that.

Wine aficionados can treat their taste buds to the maiden vintage De Krans Pinotage Rosé 2016, which will be available in selected wine outlets from mid-March 2016.

The wine is made from 100% Pinotage grapes grown at De Krans. These grapes are only used for the Rosé and are picked earlier than the other varietals to ensure optimal freshness and a lower alcohol of just 12.5%. The very short period of skin contact has resulted in a wine, which can best be described as being a beautiful light salmon pink colour. Winemaker, Louis van der Riet says the wine displays fresh flavours of strawberries, ripe cherries and raspberries, with a whisper of watermelon. On the palate the wine is perfectly balanced and dry, with a mouth-watering fresh acidity. The perfect wine to enjoy on its own or with fresh grilled trout or salmon and chicken pasta dishes. Works beautifully with sushi as well.

Expect to pay no more than R59 per bottle for this great value wine.
