VinPro Foundation
How are we investing in and helping to realise our people’s talents and dreams? By recognising that the majority of people working on South African wine and fruit farms have other valuable talents that they are able to use to effect change in the lives of the people around them.

The VinPro Foundation is all about partnerships and together with HORTGRO and the Western Cape Department of Agriculture we are giving this talent a platform through a skills development project – Agri’s Got Talent. This project is more than just a singing competition; there is a strong element of skills development through coaching and life skills workshops.

So if you are over 18 years old (can sing) and prove that you have been employed on a wine or fruit farm for more than 3 continuous months in the previous year, perhaps this could be your big break! This competition is in its third year running and it is getting tougher each year to select the top ten as more and more talented individuals enter the competition.

RULES OF THE COMPETITION:

The entrants will be judged by a panel of judges selected by HORTGRO and the VinPro Foundation. The decision of judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The judges reserve the right to withhold the award depending on the merit of the entries. Only entries related to agricultural workers in the fruit and wine agricultural sectors (farms, pack-houses or cellars) will be accepted. If chosen as a finalist, you will be asked to provide proof of employment. Please make sure that you submit all the detail requested with your entry. By entering this competition entrants accept the rules and thereby indemnify HORTGRO and the VinPro Foundation against any liability in the case of injury or death, or any other cause whatsoever arising from the competition. This competition is for amateur musicians only.

The VinPro Foundation is a non-profit organisation established by the South African wine industry organisation VinPro in 2013, which focuses on three critical development areas in the industry, namely training, ethical trade and socio-economic upliftment.
