Using 68% Chenin Blanc and 32% Pinotage, Cellarmaster Johan Malan and his team take these to South African icons. The grapes are hand harvested from blocks of vineyard specially selected for the making of this wine. Once in the cellar, the grapes were separately crushed. The Pinotage was given a very gentle pressing in order to keep the colour as pale as possible. The juices were clear settled and then slow fermented to retain as much of the fruit in the wine as possible. Once fermented, the wine is prepared for bottling.

It looks like
Bottled in a clear glass bottle under screwcap. A delicate cherry blossom blush.
It smells like
The Chenin is present in the form of tropical fruits, the Pinotage as chunky watermelon and fraises des bois.
It tastes like
Crisp and fresh with breadth and depth. Lovely fruit present in the nose repeated on the palate in a good mouthful of wine with a long tail.
