Education is a constant in the South African Winelands and the 2016 Winetech Study Groups have kicked off for the year already.

There will be 72 sessions in Afrikaans and Xhosa this year, and will be held across all 9 regions in the winelands, kicking off with a focus on various cultivars: Chenin, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Pinotage.

The sessions will include cultivar identification, basic winemaking procedures, wine styles, the preparation of special late harvest and noble late harvest wines, new techniques and/or additives and wine tasting.
