What better way to explore the Wellington valley than on foot with a Wine Walk guided tour?

The small town of Wellington is rich in history and heritage. Previously known as the Valley of the Wagon Maker, Val du Charron holds dear the history of this fertile land. What better way to explore the valley than on foot with a Wellington Wine Walk guided tour.

Meet with our winemaker, try our olives and learn more about our award-winning wines. The Black Countess is one of our favourite wines, a true lady worth meeting. Hike through the serene valleys of Wellington with a local guide, all while taking in the sights and sounds or nature at it's best. Your tour guide will be able to tell you the history of the area as you walk through the vines.

There is a selection of tours to choose from lasting up to 4 days. The choice is yours. Stay at Val du Charron Guesthouse overnight as you embark on your journey well rested the next morning.

As you walk through the valleys you will come across olive groves, fruit orchards, vineyards, historical paths, rivers and beautiful fynbos. The Hawequa mountains serve as the most beautiful backdrop for gorgeous photographs along your tours.

Form a group booking where you and your friends will be able to get the most out of a splendid day in the valley. You will be able to book into a room where you can share the evening with great friends and share a delicious dinner at The Local Grill. The carefully set menu will leave you wanting more.

During Summer, Wellington is a scorcher. The best tours take place from Autumn to Spring, these are the best conditions for guided tours through the valley.

The Kuier trail takes 45mins to complete and is considered a moderate trail. The name "Kuier" represents Val du Charron well as we enjoy a good "get-together" or social. Enjoy a olive tasting at Elsabe's, with her delicious olive products and pinotage jams. Learn about the healing properties of the indigenous plant, Buchu. Buchu has been a traditional healing plant for many years in South Africa.

Visit the Wellington Wine Walkers website and find out how you are able to enjoy this tour and stay at a 4* Guesthouse or our 5* Coach House overnight.
