Beer, Wine & Dine with Jack Black Brewing Company
On the 12th of October we hosted a 4 course dinner prepared by Chef Archie Maclean from Catharina's Restaurant where the meal was paired with Steenberg wines and beers from Jack Black Brewing Company. A wonderful time was had by all as our guests experienced the versatility of wine and beer as food partners.
 
Steenberg Golf Club Resurfacing & Upgrades
Over the last 5 months Steenberg Golf Club has carried out a greens resurfacing and bunker upgrade project with Golf Data doing the construction and maintenance of the course.

All 18 greens and the 4 practice putting greens were resurfaced with new 007 bent grass. In addition to this, the greens were given some slight changes and new slopes. Three greens: the 1st, 2nd and 15th were completely rebuilt and improved.

The greens resurfacing project ended at the end of September when all the greens were seeded with the new bent grass and have been given 3 months to grow and be ready for play in early December.

After the greens were seeded, the construction team moved onto the greenside bunkers. All the greenside bunkers have been upgraded with some new bunkers added and some old bunkers removed.

The project will ensure Steenberg Golf Club has a golf course that is keeping up with the modern game and is once again the best in Cape Town. We look forward to welcoming all the players to the new greens at Steenberg Golf Club from December 2016.
