Fleur du Cap
A series of recent awards have culminated in the ultimate five star Platter’s Wine Guide 2017 awards for Fleur du Cap’s 2015 Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc and 2015 Noble Late Harvest.
The Guide describes a 5-star wine as ‘Superlative – a Cape Classic’ Only 94 wines were awarded five stars in the 2017 edition by the panel who tasted wine from more than 600 producers. The Platter’s Wine Guide is considered to be one of the most internationally renowned and competent wine guides for South African wines and remains the best-selling annual wine guide of its kind. This is the ninth 5-star recognition for the Noble Late Harvest, which is also the only South African wine to have ever been awarded five stars in seven consecutive years.
“It is very humbling to receive such an honour from Platter’s. Everyone in our team works really hard to produce these exceptional wines, and it is wonderful to have special moments like these to reflect and celebrate our achievements,” says winemaker Elmarie Botes.
