Mulderbosch
We are immensely proud to release our eagerly awaited Mulderbosch 1000 Miles Sauvignon Blanc 2015...

This flamboyant winner has just been awarded a full 5 stars in the 2017 edition of Platter’s. The grapes were sourced from two vineyards in Elgin, one on the Simonsberg and one in Piekenierskloof. It was matured for 15 months in 500-litre French oak. Those in the know, know that our maiden vintage was in 2012 - which also rated 5 Stars in the 2014 edition of Platter’s.

More recent news is that the 2015 scored a highly respectable 93/100 in the Tim Atkin’s (MW) - South African 2016 Special Report (UK).  Please see Tim’s review:

Western Cape (13%)

Among his many winemaking talents, Adam Mason is a superb blender. This excellent Sauvignon combines fruit from Elgin, Piekenierskloof and the Simonsberg, with subtle wood ageing adding a layer of complexity. Gooseberry, nutmeg and elderflower elements are underscored by pithy acidity.  Drink: 2016-19

It’s no secret that the 2015 vintage is broadly considered to be the best vintage of the last decade.  As the accolades and awards keep pouring in, be sure to pour yourself a glass before it’s too late, we make this wine in very limited quantities and are placing reserves on request...
