Bouchard Finlayson
Organized around the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, Great Wines of the World brought 80 top global producers with 150 of their finest wines to the event where Bouchard Finlayson showcased its flagship white wine, Missionale Chardonnay 2014. Earlier this year, this vintage received a Gold Award in the Drinks Business International Chardonnay Masters 2016 competition, whilst in South Africa it scored 90 points in WineMag.co.za’s Prescient Chardonnay Report 2016.
Bouchard Finlayson’s Galpin Peak Pinot Noir 2016 and Tête de Cuvée 2013 were also part of the show. In a tribute to the winery, organiser James Suckling, who is internationally regarded as one of the world's most influential wine critics, said that ‘if there’s an ambassador for South African pinot noir, Bouchard Finlayson deserves the title. I’m truly impressed with the boutique winery’s two flagship red wines, Galpin Peak and Galpin Peak Tête de Cuvée. The wines are full-bodied, rich and complex.’
Bouchard Finlayson achieved an impressive scoring of 90 points and higher throughout its range.

Peter Finlayson was the first pioneering winemaker in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, where he started producing pinot noir in 1989. In 2000, the Tollman family acquired the vineyard where Finlayson continues to produce award-winning wines year on year. This region is now known for producing the best pinot noir in South Africa.
