The festive season represents a time where we all should be looking externally into our communities to see how we can bring a little Christmas magic to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Lanzerac endeavours to support this notion each year, and this year has selected a local charity called the Pebbles Project, where a portion of our Christmas lunch takings will be donated to this worthy cause.

The Pebbles Project currently supports 1,500 children from disadvantaged farm worker communities in the Stellenbosch, Wellington, Citrusdal and Hermanus areas of the Western Cape. The core activity is providing quality education to children aged from 3 months to 18 years, through a range of programmes including First Thousand Days, Early Childhood Development, After-School Clubs, mobile learning centres and School Leavers.

To support the education programmes, Pebbles also offers a nutrition programme feeding 600 children every day, a health programme providing medical, wellness and dental services, a community programme to strengthen families and communities and a protection programme to aid children in situations of neglect or abuse.  This holistic support ensures that the organization offers a world of opportunities to empowered communities.
