For those of you with a sweet tooth, our new Chocolate and Wine Pairing is definitely worth a try. At R95 per person – for 5 wines and 5 delectable chocolate delights- this is one offering you do not want to miss out on.

Our chocolates are sourced locally and made by Huguenot Fine Chocolates in Franschhoek. The company is well-known as one of South Africa’s premier producer of fine hand-crafted Belgian chocolates and co-owners, Danver Windvogel and Denver Adonis, are Belgian-qualified chocolatiers.

Backsberg’s offering includes a white chocolate dipped lemon peel, a dark chocolate dipped candied orange peel, a dark chocolate covered ginger square, a dark chocolate dipped fig, and the pièce de résistance, a vanilla and almond white chocolate truffle. Each chocolate is paired with one of Backsberg’s award-winning wines.
