Fun frozen treats at the House of J.C. Le Roux this summer

The House of J.C. Le Roux, South Africa’s leading sparkling wine producer, is on trend this season with a range of icy adult treats to beat the summer heat.

Inspired by and made with some of its signature bubblies, guests will be welcomed to the refurbished brand home in Devon Valley in Stellenbosch to enjoy a selection of iced popsicles and granitas – all made with fresh fruit and sparkling wines.

 The popsicles are made in partnership with artisan sorbet and ice lolly makers, Las Paletas, and are available in three flavours: Strawberry and Sauvignon Blanc, Litchi and Vibrazio Demi Sec and an alcohol-free Strawberries and Cream option.

 Visitors who book and pay for a bubbly tasting at the House of J.C. Le Roux will enjoy complimentary popsicles on arrival as welcome treats. The popsicles can be purchased at the tasting room at R25 per flavour. 

 The House of J.C. Le Roux is the place to chill this summer.  Guests can also enjoy the newly launched drier Vibrazio range, any JC Le Roux sparkling wine or MCC per glass or per bottle, popsicles and a range of hand-blended granitas.

 The signature granitas are a grown-up slush-puppy served in a champagne flute and garnished with fresh fruit. Flavours include La Fleurette and Strawberry, Le Domaine and Pineapple, Sauvignon Blanc and Kiwi and La Chanson and Mixed Berries.

 For those wishing to linger and make a day out of it a selection of exceptional platters to share are available. Guests can enjoy oyster platters with basil and lime pesto, Bloody Mary and La Vallee and raspberry salsa. Priced at R84 for four, R120 for six and R228 for 12, the platters can be enjoyed with your favourite glass of J.C. Le Roux bubbles.

 Other platter options include:

  • Cheese platter R158: Six local cheeses with watermelon and fig preserve, fresh fruits, chocolate pretzels and crackers.
  • Le Venue platter R165: Calamari Rings, chicken nuggets, tempura prawns, bobotie spring rolls, sweet chilli and mayo dip, hand-cut fries and a small salad.
  • Vivante Platter R155: Salmon and parmesan tart, bobotie spring rolls, cucumber and dill cream cheese sandwiches, rose scented coconut ice, macaroons and champagne jelly.
